About the Author:
The revelation concerning church government contained in this book has changed everything for me. Now I see how Jesus is going to purge out the “spots and wrinkles” to make it the Glorious Church.
The Old Testament Church under Moses was just like the church of today. It was full of bickering and complaining people who would not follow their leader. It took forty years, but God did purify that church. It became a glorious church under Joshua and marched in unity to obtain the Promised Land.
I believe the revelation contained in this book is the same revelation that changed the people under Moses. Though I am fifty-five years of age, I now believe I have a chance to see the Glorious Church in my lifetime.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion from Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma. He also attended graduate classes at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma.
Darryl has been the pastor of four churches since entering the ministry in 1970. The early years of his ministry were bi-vocational. In secular employment, he worked in real estate sales, insurance sales, and he owned a construction company. These experiences provide a broader background that serves him well in the pastorate.
Darryl married Regenia (Evins) Manning in 1970. The Manning’s have two sons, Galen and Brent, who assist them in their ministry.
Brent is married to Suzanne (Davenport) Manning. Suzanne gave birth to Darryl and Regenia’s first grandbaby, Erika Riley on August 21, 2003. Grandbabies really are exceptionally grand.He has served the denomination on many boards and committees. He served as Conference Evangelism Director in the early 1990’s. Pastor Manning maintains a broad focus on the church through pastoral networking, multi-church projects, and continuing education. He is one of the leaders of a ministry group that prays over pastors and their ministries each week in the Oklahoma City area.
