The book deals with "Light Skin vs. Dark Skin", Teenage Suicide, drug addictions, self hate, low-self-esteem, teenage pregnancy, child abuse, rape and much more. God, and particular scripture is referenced through out the book, however in order for the stories to come across the way I wanted it to. I had to tell the stories just how they happened, Word for word. The book is spiritual but not totally Christian.
