About the Author

Charles Bachman is Professor of English at Buffalo State College, where for almost twenty years he has specialized in Native American Literature. He has also had an active career in western New York as an operatic baritone for many years, performing twenty-six major roles in operas, operettas, and musicals, as well as giving many recitals and being guest soloist with orchestras including the Syracuse Symphony and the Buffalo Philharmonic. Periodicals where his poetry has appeared include The Carolina Quarterly and The Kansas Quarterly. He is married to pianist/vocal coach Nancy Townsend.
