Macon, Mississippi, a small, but lively town, influenced Jack Holman's maturing years. He graduated from Macon High School and enrolled in the University of Mississippi to major in accounting. World War II interrupted college and Jack served nearly three years in the United States Navy, experiencing action in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. After the war, Jack graduated, worked as an accountant for nine years; then joined the ranks of Professional Scouting, Boy Scouts of America. Jack has been active in church and civic activities, including Rotary International, Lions Club, and American Legion. He loves teaching a teen-age Sunday School Class.
