About the Author

Dr. Frank L. Quinn is a therapist, educator and researcherwith over twenty-five years of clinical experience. He is currently a partnerin Carolina Psychiatric Services, P. A., where he serves as Clinical Directorof Outpatient Services. Additionally, he is the founder and Director of the South Carolina Center for Gambling Studies, and serves asan adjunct professor of psychology at Columbia College. Although well known throughout thesoutheast for his lectures on families and addiction, his research on electronicgambling (especially video poker) is familiar with audiences throughout the United States, Canada and Australia.A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (AB & MS) and the University of South Carolina (Ph.D.), Dr. Quinn currentlyresides in Columbia, S.C. with his wife Lane and their three children.
