About the Author

Dr. Jeffrey Brown is an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a Clinical Associate at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. Dr. Brown has been the psychologist for the Boston Marathon Medical Team since 2002 and is listed on the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry for the 2004-2008 Quadrennium. A former collegiate baseball player himself, he is board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in both Clinical Psychology and Cognitive & Behavioral Psychology. Dr. Brown maintains a private clinical and consulting practice in Arlington, Massachusetts. He, his wife Carolynne, and their son Grant, live in the Boston area.
