Synopsis

About the Author

Ilmars Birznieks is a native of Latvia. He holds a Ph.D. from Tulane University and has taught German and English at several institutions in United States and abroad. He is the author of numerous professional articles and book reviews. Since his retirement from college teaching, he has turned to writing fiction. His short stories Return to Duty, My American Soldier, The Power of Prayer have appeared in the Christian, Thought Magazine and the Standard. Two years ago his first novel, The Forgotten Promise, was published by Authorhouse. As in his first novel, in The Invisible Hand he draws from his personal experience to spin a tale of suspense, espionage and romance during the Cold War Era. He resides with his wife in South Carolina.
