Without pretense, without frills or gimmicks, comes Developing Employees and Enhancing Employee Performance, a concise business guide by Reginald B. Hayes. Finally, a business manual that cuts to the chase at square one. In a word: smart. In fewer than 100 pages, the author breaks down the hieroglyphs of human resource and training quandaries to define the most direct path to creating links between the two departments. Demanding positive and meaningful growth in one’s business comes down to three issues: proper orientation, providing employees the necessary tools, and serving as a mentor. Summarizing these steps that any organization must take to succeed at developing their employees, Hayes breaks the mold at creating employee work plans, designing effective training programs, and setting training parameters for modules, evaluations, and internal controls. Get the most out of employees—enhance their performance and the agency’s bottom line.
