Winner of an Oustanding Academic Title Award for 2011!
Researchers in organic chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science, forensics, and environmental science make routine use of chemical analysis, but the information these researchers need is often scattered in different sources and difficult to access. The CRC Handbook of Basic Tables for Chemical Analysis, Third Edition is a one-stop reference that presents updated data in a handy format specifically designed for use when reaching a decision point in designing an analysis or interpreting results. In response to a decade of reader input, this new edition has been expanded to include even more of the critical information scientists rely on to perform accurate analysis.
Enhancements to the Third Edition:
Unmatched in its coverage of the range of information scientists need in the lab, this resource will be referred to again and again by practitioners who need quick, easy access to the data that forms the basis for experimentation and analysis.

Thomas J. Bruno, PhD, is a project leader in the Physical and Chemical Properties Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Boulder, Colorado. He is also on the adjunct faculty in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. Paris D.N. Svoronos, PhD, is professor of chemistry and department chair at Queensborough Community College (QCC) of the City University of New York. In addition, he holds a continuing appointment as visiting professor in the Department of Chemistry at Georgetown University.Review:
"... all the numbers and information needed to design an experiment to fit a researcher's needs. The authors created a one-stop reference that is well conceived and designed and easy to read. Unmatched ... Summing Up: Highly recommended."
―J. Allison, The College of New Jersey
Praise for the previous edition:
... another excellent work from CRC Press. Unlike other reference tables, these are very easy to use. ... The handbook is a very modern resource, evidenced by an entire section on chiral stationary phases for liquid chromatography analysis... This reviewer is very grateful to have all of this information in one place, and will make regular use of it in the research and teaching lab settings. This handbook will become a standard in the libraries of academics and industrial researchers alike. Summing Up: Highly recommended.
