About the Author:
Dr Karen Glaister has been involved with tertiary health education for over 25 years. Throughout this time she has maintained a commitment to providing a quality, authentic educational experience and has, as such, received professional recognition as well as a national teaching award. Her work has seen her engaged with students in Australia and overseas, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Recent positions have seen her share her educational expertise in order to improve curriculum design, develop teaching staff capacity and foster valuing of students and their enjoyment of learning. Her most recent position sees her working on teaching and learning projects that have application across the university sector.
