About the Author

My name is Dave Sampson. I'm a thirty-four year old husband and father of three. I earn a living as the assistant director of a private non-profit agency in South Central Oregon. A profession that would lead most to think I might lean towards the left, but as you know from watching our fearless political leaders, not all is as it seems.From a republican family who worked hard, had pride, and enjoyed the comfort that a stable family provided, I was raised on an Oregon farm and in rural Oregon towns until moving to the liberal Mecca that is Santa Cruz, California in 1982. I enjoyed the simple country life where everything was, as it seemed. It wasn't until my journey to the "Golden State", seeing for the first time blue hair, earrings where they didn't belong, peace signs, and tidyed everything, that I realized there were people with some radically different views of life.Following graduation from a Catholic high school in 1988 I was off to college in San Jose where I obtained an associates degree and was a pitcher on the college baseball team. There, I took pleasure in the fine hobby of people watching and got my first real taste of how nasty liberals could be. Until that time I saw liberals as harmless, clueless, gutless, peaceful little folks.After college, I returned to the relative normalcy of Southern Oregon. In 1994 I met and fell in love with Niki, my wife of ten years, and became part of her wonderful family.Today I enjoy following politics and observing the irony, hypocrisy, and down right stupidity of some of today's political bantering. I believe, that if liberals actually stood back and looked at how ridiculous they act and sound, they might just be embarrassed enough to clean up their act. Then again, liberals think they have valid points where no validity exists.Common sense rules over all else.
