25 Year Old Author Paves the Way

The journey of publishing this book began just a few years ago, when Laura spoke at a women’s retreat in Wisconsin. After sharing her heart with a group of Intervarsity students at "Esther’s Beauty Shop", several of the girls provoked her to write a book on the subject matter she discussed. These college students expressed their frustration that there is not enough relevant material available for Christian women that does not appeal only to the lowest common denominator, and also does not deviate from a strong Biblical foundation.

Inspired by these words, Laura translated her long practiced passion of writing into her very first published book, released in 2005. Her aim is to challenge every woman to a higher standard, to fix their gaze upon the face of Jesus Christ, and learn how to serve Him and be consecrated to His purposes in such a thorny culture that lures us away from this pursuit.

Laura’s primary desire is to impart lifestyle values into the women of this generation; that they would know Jesus intimately, being equipped and released into their destiny.

About the Author

Laura M Thomas graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. in Speech Communications. She met her husband, Joel, while ministering in evangelistic outreach in Ghana, West Africa in the summer of 2000. Since then, Joel and Laura have served the Lord in more than 25 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Central America, South America, North America, Europe, and the Middle East. She is passionate about discipleship, worship, and teaching the word of God, and international ministry to the poor. She has been happily married three years and resides in Washington D.C.
