About the Author

Erica L. Perry is a contributing writer for The Minority Executive Report, Ebony Lifestyles Magazine, & a member of the Houston Association of Black Journalist. She's an educator & a philanthropist. Perry founded the non-profit organizations P.R.E.T.T.Y through the El Campo Boys & Girls Club to enrich the lives of young women, enhance their self-esteem, and The Charles Edward Grays Scholarship Foundation. After her late grandfather. Through her endeavors she's spearheaded a school supply drive for Sammons Elementary, and teamed up with a fellow PV Alumnus & donated prom dresses for A Caring Closet 501 C 3 on the one-year anniversary celebration of her novel and debut of the Gospel Stage play adapted from the novel. Erica received her Bachelors of Arts and Science degree in Sociology and Masters in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. She's a native of El Campo, TX and now resides in Houston, TX
