Remember the handcrafted mischief of the gangs on The Little Rascals, Gilligan's Island, and The Swiss Family Robinson?
This cleverness is back in the old-fashioned fun of Treehouses and Other Cool Stuff You Can Build. Imagine building an old-fashioned go-cart, an A-frame treehouse, a portable lemonade stand, a seesaw, a scooter skateboard, a tub fiddle, and even the ultimate in entertainment-an erupting volcano.
Also included is a useful section on carpentry tips and tools such as: Sawhorse, Saw Guide and Crosscutting, Ripping Wood, Pilot Holes and Drilling Screws, Toolbox.

Note: If you shingle your treehouse, use staples instead of nails to attach shingles. Clear your building site from brush and rocks and mark out an area with string that is 89 1/2 inches wide and 66 1/2 inches deep. This represents the exact center of where the 4 posts will go. Check the diagonal measurements from corner to corner to make sure they measure the same. Dig 4 holes where the strings intersect, 12 inches wide and 36 inches deep. Place the 10-foot-long 4x4s in the holes loosely. Don't backfill until the frame is in place. Temporarily brace the posts to keep them plumb.
