About the Author:

Amanda B. Daniel, a young single parent, learned at an early age about difficulties in life. After experiencing relationship conflicts, adolescent parenting and postpartum depression, she desired change and was determined to make them. In order to transform life for herself and her son she realized that she needed to take action step-by-step and follow-through with responsibilities regardless of the hurdles that lay ahead. With an agenda to accomplish and goals in progress, tasks were gradually completed. She challenged herself and with time and commitment brought her realities to fulfilling and worthy causes unlocking the powers to her potential. Although the challenge was immense, eventually Amanda succeeded in obtaining educational, professional and personal goals. Amanda graduated Cum Laude from Lesley College in 1999. Her Bachelor's degree is in Human Services with a Minor in Psychology and Specialization in Counseling. She went on to pursue her Masters degree shortly after and graduated in 2003 with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University. Today, working as a professional specializing in adolescents, Amanda returned to familiar grounds in a career focused on helping today's teenage population as an Adolescent Social Worker for the State of Massachusetts.
