This is the story of a schoolmate and his friend Joey, who is Autistic and has a few other developmental disabilities. The story begins when they start first grade and continues until they finish grade school. This book is done in rhyme to make it more interesting and easier for young children to understand. It is the schoolmate's story of how he and the other children perceive a child who is "different" and how they eventually see beyond his affliction to the person he reallly is and become his friends.

About the Author:
Katherine "gigi" LePage is a wife, step-mother and grandmother who has raised seven sons and now has eleven grandchildren. She lives in a small New England town where she was born and raised. The book is based on her grandson Joey, who is autistic and her perception of how other children observing him should have or could have reacted to incidences happening during his grade school years.
