About the Author:

Since I was nine, I ve enjoyed writing well mainly about my overeager urge to become a doctor even though I can t stand the sight of blood. Then I took a turn down ballerina lane, reaped the benefits of injuries, and somehow managed to return to my longtime interest in writing. Currently, I am a junior journalism major and a dance minor hoping to find a job where I can utilize my creativity and partake in the freedom of expression. I m very thankful that I have been given the opportunity to help attract the right students to SMU, as well as offer some advice to the irresolute ones. Getting away from Georgia has been quite an eye-opener for me, and through my college experience, I have learned what the beauty of independence has to offer. I ve learned how to juggle school, a job, extracurriculars, and my sanity. Yet somehow, I ve managed to have the time of my life here, too. It certainly has been worthwhile for me, and hopefully this book will help you decide whether or not it can be for you, too.

Don t fret, I m not going to write a novel about myself or anything. I would like to give some shout outs and thank yous to the people who made this book possible. Thank you to my parents, who were there for all of my frantic phone calls. My family rocks! They ve all been cheering me on. Thank you to Chris for always hugging me and saying, you can do it!
