Ian J. Deary is Professor of Differential Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, and Director of the Meducal Research Council Centre for Cognitive ASgeing and Cognitive Epidemiology.

Lawrence J. Whalley is Professor of Mental Health at the University of Aberdeen.

John M. Starr is a Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Edinburgh and Honorary Professor in Health and Aging at the University of Edinburgh.
