Synopsis
Imagine having a near death experience that not only changes your life, but alters your entire perception of the world that you live in! Mia Brookes dies in a car crash on a dark October day in the year 2006 which triggers a sequence of events that go one step beyond any expectations of near death experience. Having been brought back to life in a busy city hospital she quickly realises that her NDE was no ordinary one. Following her journey to the other side, Andy Morrison is shot on the street and dies. But unlike Mia, his experience is one of sheer terror as he finds himself in the bowels of hell. Neither dead nor alive, he lies in a coma in the same hospital unable to break free from his nightmare. Their lives become entwined in a series of events that will change their lives, and that of their families, for ever more.

About the Author
Diane Marshall was born in a tenement flat in Johnstone, Renfrewshire in July 1951. For many years she wrote short stories which she kept in a secret place until 2001 when she finally compiled them into a book of short stories; following that she wrote a play called 'The Attendants' which was staged in The Mitchell Theatre, Glasgow; had an all star cast, and became a tremendous hit with theatre goers. Hailed as 'One of the finest writing talents to emerge in Scotland for years.' The Scotsman, August 2003, Mrs Marshall has now completed her first novel 'Beyond The Light', a fictional story about near death experience Mrs Marshall lives with her husband near Lesmahagow Lanark.
