About the Author:

Judy Ferguson grew up on a farm in central California where she learned her love and dedication to horses, farm life and hard work. Her love of children's literature began while she worked in the children's library in Fresno, California. She and her husband live in the Oklahoma's Ozark Mountains on their 100-acre horse ranch on the edge of the Illinois River. Judy packs a pistol daily protecting her ranch against mountain lions, snakes and skunks. She is the proud mother of two grown sons and two foster daughters. Her husband Joe and her Akita, Mister Muscles are the loves of her life. Although she is an accomplished poet in theLibrary of Congress, this is her first published book with another sequel underway.
