Robert Kapernick was responsible for the discipline of system engineering at a major government laboratory before retiring in 1993. System engineering is a discipline that uses top-down functional analyses to define systems interfaces. After retiring, Robert studied Spanish in Guadalajara, Mexico for three years at the Cultural Institute and the University Autonoma of Guadalajara. Since returning to this country, Robert has applied the discipline of system engineering to the language of Spanish. This book is a result of that analysis. Robert has master's degrees in engineering and management.
Thelma Witt González was born and educated in Mexico were she was licensed in Communications. She worked as a reporter and editor in a major newspaper in Guadalajara and was a professor and a director at the University Autonoma of Guadalajara before coming to this country in 1997. Since arriving in the United States, Thelma has earned a master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction and is licensed to teach Spanish at the secondary level.
