Le comte Harry Kessler (Paris 1868 - Lyon 1937): diplomate, editeur, ecrivain, mecene, directeur du musee de Weimar et surtout grand collectionneur d art. Il a egalement frequente de nombreux ecrivains. Diplomate, Kessler fut le premier ambassadeur d Allemagne a Varsovie apres la Premiere Guerre mondiale ainsi qu un tres proche collaborateur de Gustave Stresemann lorsque ce dernier etait ministre des affaires etrangeres.
