Have you ever wondered why no matter what you do, your business seems to have more problems than solutions? Do you sometimes think that there's got to be a better way? Where would you go to find answers, to find help? Jack Griffin is a young man flushed with the success of his new company, SnackBox Inc. In six months he's witnessed its meteoric rise, and now right before a big expansion, it seems that his skills as a CEO and leader cannot be stopped. What he doesn't realize is the techniques he used may have carried him this short distance, but will work against him from here on out. With problems arising in every department, he notices too late that he personally is causing his business to come crashing down. Written as a story, Under the Gun teaches real-world leadership secrets in a context that shows rather than tells. And these secrets aren't from just anywhere; they come from Bill Byrd's leadership book, Sweet Success: Twelve Proven Habits of Winning Leaders. It's these Sweet Success principles that Jack learns throughout the book. . . and they may just give his company a fighting chance.

About the Author:
Bill Byrd has acquired deep wisdom and understanding of business in his 35 years of being an entrepreneur. In addition to being a published author, he once owned a Baskin Robbins franchise with the largest ever opening day sales, took the Fort Worth based company Sweet Shop Chocolates from the brink of bankruptcy to an international success, and with his wife Judie, started the Culinary School of Fort Worth and founded the nationally franchised company Super Suppers. During all of this entrepreneurial activity, he also found time to become a private pilot, own a dairy farm, and was a founding member of the Emmaus Christian Academy in 1984, providing schooling for under- privileged kids in Mexico. Through his books, blog, and radio show, Bill guides potential entrepreneurs in starting their own small business, as well as helps companies build new markets, cut expenses, and turn around their businesses despite declining market values, low cash flow, and other challenges. You can listen to his weekly radio show on Sirius radio, the Family Net channel. Visit www.sweetsuccessradio.com to read his blog, as well as find more information about Bill, his teachings, and how he can help you and your business. George Page is the creator of ShinyPen.com, writing newsletters for companies, and professional blog entries for business websites. He began writing while gaining a BA in Entrepreneurism from Baylor University, and since then he has joined, started, or worked for a variety of businesses. As a professional writer, the experiences and knowledge gained from each company allow him to write about business from an insider's insightful standpoint.
