About the Author:

Tim Lewis is an extremely experienced and accomplished author of 8 books, including history, poetry, and fiction. He has won several first prizes for his poetry and been awarded a number of fellowships and grants for his work, which has reached an international audience. He is Executive Officer of the Piedmont Writers' Institute, based in Charlottesville, Virginia, and runs several courses in creative writing. Born in England, but a resident of Virginia for many years, he has performed his poetry to audiences across America and Europe. His works of history have also won international acclaim. “The Virginiad” is both poetry at its best and history at its best.
