About the Author:
Gennet Bekele is a native of Ethiopia. Her country is a land of the oldest Christian origins. It remains the only African country never colonized by Europeans; it is a place with thirteen months of sunshine. Gennet is an author of 'On the ladder of thought' and 'food for the soul' poetry books in Amharic. She is constantly writing children's books, painting and sculpting. Her heart's desire is to serve children by writing children's books. She is a true believer of helping children meet their needs. Gennet has a Bachelor degree from Howard University in Experimental studio and a master’s degree in Art Education from Jackson State University. An author, artist, a poet and a teacher; she currently works with Atlanta Public Schools and resides in Atlanta Georgia.
