About the Author

My consulting services provides alignment of strategy, people, and process, working in several ways: one-on-one with organizational leadership, with groups of leaders within organizations, and also periodically establishing development series, consisting of non-competitive organizations for group coaching development. I have become recognized as one of the nation's foremost performance management consultants, since being involved in the popular performance-based budgeting initiatives in the early 1990's. My work builds sustainable performance management systems that provide for strategic analysis, program evaluation and process oversight. I have also provided reviews and testimony for the Government Accounting Standards Board and the Government Finance Officers Association in their authoritative guidance to public entities on performance management, and service efforts and accomplishment reporting. Approximately fifteen years of my career has been as an entrepreneur, establishing an accounting franchise, LedgerPlus, where I had the honor of being recognized as Franchise of the Year. I also established two consulting firms during this time. I was the Inspector General for the Florida Department of Management Services for six years. In addition to being a CPA, I am a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Public Manager. My life interests include fostering healthy families and holistic health in the community. I am a native of Tallahassee, Florida, growing up fishing with my grandfather, helping in the family jewelry store and print shop, and enjoying organizing neighborhood parades and activities with friends I still cherish today. Most of my off-work time is spent with my husband and two daughters, swimming and walking with friends; or caring for my 1925 bungalow-style home in mid-town Tallahassee.
