About the Author

Cynthia is a retired school librarian and story teller by heart. Her three children were raised with her animal bedtime tales and camp fire adventures. Her passion has been working with young people as an English teacher and later as an Elementary School Librarian. Today she teaches Sunday school, loves to swim, read and write. Luke, her cat, really did go to school and sit in her library and now travels with Cynthia and her husband between Palm Desert, California, in the winter and their home on American Lake in Washington in the summer. Cynthia is now finishing the further tales of the Silver Eagle School Mysteries. Look on her website for the latest publication.

Review

The eight animal friends of Silver Eagle School solve mysteries and help children reach their full potential. Luke the cat, Oliver the owl, Sunny the squirrel, Racky the raccoon, Charlie the chameleon, Sophie the Pomeranian, Caesar the Labrador retriever and Bernard the bat all live in or near Silver Eagle School. After the lights go out, they gather in the library to chuckle over the day's adventures, hunt for missing objects or plan ways to make the school a better place. Of course, humans can't understand animal speak, so Sunny leaves notes on the computer for their human friend, Brittany, to read to the other students. Hilarious things are always happening at Silver Eagle School. Angle worms escape their container and contaminate the fruit salad; shiny objects like marbles and wrapped gold candies go missing; the students are treated to animal shows at the playground carnival; and Charlie the chameleon gets lost on nearly a daily basis. --Kirkus Discoveries
