Synopsis
Two former German POWs who had, many years before, escaped their US Army captors and blended into to American society undertake a daring rescue of a dying brother from behind the Iron Curtain. With the help of a US senator and an international Bible smuggling agency, a team travels to Europe and East Germany. The brother is found and rescued from East Germany with a successful life-saving surgery is preformed in a secret Asian clinic. The main characters are then swept into a covert operation where one million Bibles are ‘smuggled’ into Communist China. Along the way, they encounter spies, typhoons, and Communist gun boats. Within the context of the of the story, a communist rebel commander, a freelance Australian doctor, and an assortment of priests and other odd but believable characters are found. The book concludes with the lives of each character being changed in drastic, but wonderful measure. Eventually, those lives are blended into a common and noble objective.

About the Author
WILLIAM V. TIMMONS has invested 27 years living, working, and traveling in over forty countries of the world. Timmons began by serving as a US Peace Corps Volunteer where he taught English to a West African president. He then served ten years as an educational missionary in the Philippines where he and his wife worked as educators, in prisons, orphanages, and schools. In Thailand, Timmons established several major child welfare programs for which he received a highly coveted Royal Decoration from the King of Thailand. William Timmons has served as a consultant for numerous international aid organizations, government agencies, and mission groups. Bill & his wife, Dr. Rachel Timmons reside in Southern California where they continue to teach, write, and raise grandchildren
