Life of being raised in the country, living off the land, raising livestock, gardening and time in the fields. We didn't have much and didn't know it either. Chopping and picking cotton. Hauling hay, killing hogs and cows....cooking lard, drawing water from a well, washing clothes by hand and hanging on the clothesline and using the outhouse. Skinny dipping, fishing in the creeks and ponds........ We didn't have indoor bathroom facilities until I was twelve and we never had a phone.... Plowed mules and I'm country as they come as all my friends grew up the same. Just plain 'pore'.
