About the Author

W. David Yates is currently serving as the Corporate Safety Manager at Bodine Services of the Midwest in Decatur, Illinois. He also serves as the State Safety Occupational Health Clinical Officer in the Illinois National Guard and is an active member of the Central Illinois Chapter of American Society of Safety Engineers.  He has extensive knowledge and experience in hazardous materials management, safety programs, indoor air quality, ventilation, noise and sound, and industrial hygiene sampling and analysis.
