John Ballard is emeritus professor of management atMount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. A United States Air ForceAcademy graduate, during his years as an officer he reinvented Air Forcemanagement consulting saving taxpayers millions of dollars.
Dr. Ballard earned a M.A. degree atthe University of Southern Mississippi and his Ph.D. at Purdue University. He began hisacademic career at the Air Force Institute of Technology, the graduate schoolof the U.S. Air Force. He has served on the management faculty at WittenbergUniversity, Springfield, Ohio, and Miami University of Ohio, and taught forCentral Michigan University's Global Campus. In 2013 Cincy Magazine honored him as one of Cincinnati's Outstanding Educators.
A management scholar with over 50papers and presentations, he has received multiple awards and served on theeditorial board of one of the most influential publications in managementeducation, the Academy of ManagementLearning & Education journal.
