About the Author

My name is Melanie West. I am an Educational Psychologist in Southern California. I'm a Right-Brained Thinker. The first five years of my professional career, I worked as a school psychologist for public schools where I conducted neurological testing on nearly a thousand students age 3 through 18. By the time I moved into private practice, I felt like I had "seen it all." While working for school districts, I attempted to successfully navigate the waters of Special Education. Seldom did I feel victorious. I loved every child that crossed my path, yet felt at the deepest level, that the "system" let them down. I left my position with public schools and embarked on a journey to discover a paradigm that would REALLY work. For the past 10 years, I have been witnessing the powerful effect of right-brained learning strategies. The results are consistent and amazing. I thank my beloved students who have so joyfully guided me into the world of right-brained thinking.
