Vicky M. Semones was a 'casual commuter.' While working in San Francisco, she commuted via that unique Bay Area informal system called the Casual Carpool, as well as AC Transit buses and BART from eight different addresses in five cities, on a personal odyssey over 25 years through four Bay Area Counties. Whew! A poet, writer and photographer, she resides with her partner in the Oakland hills, and now commutes daily from her kitchen to her study, accompanied by her kitty, Bella. They now watch deer, wild turkey, raccoon and hawk wander by on their daily commutes. Vicky's poetry appears in regional and national anthologies. Her stories have appeared in West Coast newspapers, including The Montclarion, and North Kitsap Herald. Her photography has appeared in Bay Nature, and has received recognition in Photographers Forum.
