A competitive runner since the age of 14, Dariusz has been an all-around distance runner, racing anything from cross-country, trail, road races, and occasionally visiting the world of triathlon. From the very beginning of his running career, he maintained a training log. Dariusz left Poland and settled in the United States in 1984. In 1989 he graduated from Ashland College (6-Time All American Runner and Scholar) and in 1999 from University of Cincinnati (Graphic Design - Magna Cum Laude). His track running career ended with the personal best of 3:39.5 in 1500 meters (equivalent of 3:57 for a mile run), and 1.48.6 in 800 meters. In 1999 Dariusz concentrated on the road, and trail running mostly for fun and to stay fit.
