Under the Eye, a Composer's Journey, is the first book that I bravely published! It weaves together the story of my life and depicts the journey from absolutely no clue about music to being a composer with over 1000 songs penned. It shares the remarkable paths I was set on, with "only God could have done this" moments, that are filled with humor, astonishment, and unbelievable moments.


As the music began pouring into my life Ibegan giving concerts, sharing the story behind that music. That led to many peopleasking me to pen the story.


And so, I did.

The book, Underthe Eye - a Composer's Journey, is the outcome of that process.

ABOUT BRENDA:
I was born in Northern California in 1956. I was an avid reader in my youth, and wrote poems during college, but my songwriting didn't begin for many years. Literary aspirations would happen much later.


Not focused on music I would earn my first degree as a Bible Instructor, in the idyllic region above the Napa Valley. In 1998, I secured my second degree in Engineering Technology(drafting and design). I worked several years designing and drafting homes/small businesses in northern California.


In 2014 I wrote and published a much smaller book, He Shall Send Angels. Then in 2017 I had the great honor of publishing a short story for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series;Dreams and the Unexplainable.

In 2018 I am writing my first fiction, Marginal Madge, Always on the Edge, a charming and fun-filled story for fans of humor and descriptive scenery. It is a hopeful book, intended to bring you comic relief, and quiet reverie. This book is for the young and young at heart.
