About the Author:

Mr. Verner was graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1979. While in law school, Mr. Verner served as Executive Editor of the San Diego Law Review. Following graduation, Mr. Verner clerked for the Hon. William C. Keady, Chief Judge, United States District Court of the Northern District of Mississippi. Upon entering private practice, Mr. Verner was admitted to the bar in several states as well as before the United States Supreme Court. Over the years, Mr. Verner focused his practice on domestic relations law. He is Board Certified in Family Law and in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Verner has published and lectured extensively on family law and on other topics. He continues to practice law with Verner & Brumley, P.C., in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Verner also holds an M.A. in Political Science from Emory University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas.
