This miniature monograph collects 30 postcards, in which Franco reimagines book covers by stepping inside the cover scene. The postcards are prefaced by an essay by Franco about the work, along with a short text from The Thing editors.

James Franco is an artist, actor, writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles.

The Thing Quarterly is an experimental periodical based in San Francisco, curated by artists Jonn Herschend and Will Rogan.

This is the first in a new series of postcard books showcasing the work of contemporary creative talents, curated and edited by The Thing Quarterly. This collection features new work by actor, filmmaker, artist, and author James Franco. On each of the thirty postcards, Franco reimagines the cover of one his favourite books, from Bram Stoker's Dracula to Patti Smith's Just Kids, and inserts himself into the scene by posing as the protagonist. The book includes an introduction to the project by Franco and a preface by The Thing Quarterly editors Jonn Herschend and Will Rogan.
