Fully updated for DSM-5, the Third Edition of Child and Adolescent Psychopathology provides 24 real-life cases to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and tools they will need as practicing clinicians. As they explore realistic, complex cases, students learn to integrate theory into research-based assessments and interventions. Each case provides opportunities to practice clinical skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood disorders from a number of theoretical perspectives and at various levels of interest and expertise. Designed to be used with a child psychopathology text, this practical casebook covers current trends in the field and promotes an understanding of the role of risk and protective factors in assessment and treatment.

"The case studies are thorough and the questions at the end of chapters are very helpful." Author: Roger A. Olsen, The University of St. Thomas
"The Casebook is an excellent way to introduce students to the real-life presentation of clinical disorders by way of actual case material. The developmental perspective is a strength of this book and distinguishes it from others available in the field." Author: Jennifer Connolly, York University
"I thought the appendices were the most unique part of the book. The "Systems of classification" appendix, which specifically includes information related to ADA, IDEA, and section 504 is crucial for those students who will be working in a school setting. The "guidelines for interpretation of test scores and assessment information" is handy for all students who will be providing assessment services, regardless of the setting." Author: Deborah Harris O’Brien, Trinity Washington University
"The text is well written and the materials are up-to-date. The strength of the text is on case formulation and it’s the best that I have seen in the market." Author: Dan O. Nyaronga, SUNY-Empire State College
