As a child Charisse Rudolph, dyslexic and lacking confidence, studied methods to overcome her inadequacies. As an adult, she shared her knowledge with thousands, young and old, developing an experiential team-building company where she facilitated and produced seminars. Later, she opened a nonprofit called Rising Moon Equine Center, partnering with her horses to impart knowledge, a method called Equine Assisted Learning. For this she won the Leadership Award for Contribution to Women. Charisse has worked with Disney, 2Oth Century Fox, Xerox, Hewlett Packard, and G.T.E., along with Malibu High School, Cross Roads for the Arts and Science, Biola University, Archer School for Girls, Marlborough, Beverly Hills High School, Campbell Hall, U.C.L.A., and "Kids at Risk". In 2012, Charisse founded the non profit, Healing Horses & Armed Forces. It was created for veterans, and service members who are dealing with the aftermath of war.
