Each Artdoku puzzle is a 9 x 9 grid of horizontal and vertical row, evenly separated into 9 squares with 9 spaces in each square. Each puzzle starts with some of the spaces already filled in with 9 colors. These are the clues you use to solve the puzzle. You solve the puzzle by filling in the open spaces with the missing colors so that when completed, each horizontal and vertical row and each square contains every nine colors. Each of the 9 colors can appear only once in each horizontal and vertical row, and only once within each of the 9 squares.
