Uplifting, intriguing, and full of suspense, Elizabeth Lonseth writes the sequel to Leave it to Him in her usual fast-paced style as she continues telling Luke Johansen’s and Bobbi West’s story. They’ve recently graduated from high school and have inherited the Boston Harbor Marina from Charlie Swain. They must tackle many areas of responsibility to keep the marina going while also preparing to attend college. They share moments of fun, hard work, and change with their families, friends, and others in their lives. But what direction will their relationship take? Will it be strictly a business partnership or will a commitment to the marina also lead to a commitment of love? What part will God and His Word play in their lives as they grow up through the challenges of life? Although goals may be altruistic and hearts pure in their pursuits, Bobbi and Luke must learn to consistently trust God and each other without forgetting the important core values of His Word. In exploring contemporary but timeless themes such as forgiveness, sexual purity, respect for elders, reconciling cultural and racial differences, Cares of This World portrays the importance of having integrity while accepting personal responsibility for choices and actions. Lonseth keenly demonstrates the contrast between walking with the Lord and straying from His path as Luke and Bobbi continue their journey along the path God has set before them.

Elizabeth Lonseth has been an avid lover of books her entire life, yet it was not a goal of hers to write. Challenged and inspired by her husband of nearly forty years to pen a novel, she began the Johansen Family Saga. Drawing from her life growing up around the waters of Puget Sound in Washington State, marriage, a career in Interior Design, and raising three daughters, she’s continuing the series. Her love for, and study of God’s Word has motivated her to write Christian fiction novels that are true-to-life, will capture the reader’s interest, and encourage their spiritual walk with God.
