Synopsis

Internationally renowned jewelry designer, teacher, and author Mary Hettmansperger demonstrates easy, effective ways to embellish common metal jewelry in Heat, Color, Set & Fire, a how-to book on the leading edge of beautiful contemporary jewelry design.

Mary Hetts uses paints, pencils, and dips to achieve dramatic color; applies foils, resins, mica, and other materials to alter the jewelry surface; and works with exciting techniques, like the ancient Korean art of keum boo, to create a gold-gilt effect. Rings, bracelets, necklaces and pins -- virtually any piece can become individualized and breathtaking. The book includes 21 projects for inspiration, with excellent how-to instructions and photography.

This classic how-to jewelry book stands on its own as an inspirational volume for jewelers and artists, and it also is a wonderful complement to Mary's best-selling Wrap, Stitch, Fold & Rivet.
