Synopsis

"Just Between Friends", is a story of deep friendship, love and understanding that come along with just a tad bit of drama. Katelyn, (Jonathan), Jordan (Roy), Cyra (Donavan) and Jade(Seth) are a group of friends with a common goal, attempting to walk the straight and narrow, while living in a large city that has so much to offer, in the rim of temptations and distractions. Read about my fictitious characters as they take their journey, living in the city nick named the "Big Easy," the city of New Orleans. This is an inspiring story of love, patience, understanding and forgiveness portrayed in the toughest of times. Simply spiritual? Well not exactly. These are characters that deal with real world issues, as they try so hard to hold on to their faith. Perfect? NOT! However Cyra who's married to the handsome Donavan, somehow thinks she is as she lives in her perfect world with her perfect son and most patient husband. Did I say patient? Well, we'll just have to see. Jordan, who's married to Roy, has the most interesting relationship. Jordan tries so hard to exemplify submissiveness and patience, as Roy journeys through life with his best friend, Alex. This book oozes with lots of wisdom, some that are spoken and some that are private thoughts of the characters, most of which seems to always come from Katelyn, Jonathan's wife, and Roy's sister, the mother figure of their group. Every group of friends has one. Every group of friends has to also have a peace maker to complete the circle and keep it balanced. One who tries to find the best in people and a reason for every bad situation, which would be Jade, Seth's ex-wife. She possesses the gift of love, peace, and understanding and does well applying it to everyone, except Seth, her ex-husband, not remembering that "Charity" starts at home

Sharon Verrett, was born in New Orleans, LA. There she lived for thirty nine of her years. Sharon was born to Mary Dickerson and James C. McCowan. Her mother was a very hard working woman, something she instilled in each of her children and a principle Sharon has always held on to, understanding there are no free meals, tickets, or rides, in this life. Sharon's mother and father are both now deceased. Another inspiring person, who aided in her character building and development, was her grandmother, Johnnie B. McCowan (Mome). Sharon spent weekends and long summers with her. Her grandmother was "Mrs. Prissy". She would teach her every thing about being a lady. Sharon and Kevin W. Verrett Sr, were married in 1977 in New Orleans, LA and now resides in Summerville, SC. They are the parents of three children and four grandchildren . She also has a natural love for people and the church. Over the years she has developed some of the best relationships through her congregations. Lasting solid relationships that have a bond that most people only dream about and could never get in some families. Because of her love for the two, it has inspired her to write. She believes the world has great opportunities and the world is a book. Kevin and Sharon are both active members at their local congregation. Together the two works with the marriage ministry and she works also with the inspirational care group. "Just Between Friends", is the first, she prays, of a multitudes of books that will follow. She hopes that through her writing, she can inspire people with stories of "overcoming"!
