About the Author

Norman Jackson is Director of the Lifewide Education Community Interest Company, a not for profit organisation which aims to raise awareness and support the development of a lifewide approach to education. He is also Emeritus Professor of Higher Education at the University of Surrey where he spent five years as Director of the Surrey Centre for Excellence in Professional Training and Education (SCEPTrE). The concepts of lifewide learning and lifewide education were developed through the work of the SCEPTrE Centre but their origin can be traced to his work on creativity in higher education undertaken while he was a Senior Advisor with the Higher Education Academy.
