About the Author:

Susan spent her childhood in Cumbria where trips to the book shops in Carlisle were a great treat. Pocket money was spent on A.A. . Milne's stories of Winnie the Pooh, and much loved tales of Beatrix Potter, set in Susan's beloved Lake District. Poetry books were also great favourite. Married to a priest for twenty-five years she produced three children and is now a grandmother. Work in the church took the family as missionaries to Zimbabwe shortly after the country's independence. Parish life also took her to locations from Cumbria to Hertfordshire and places in between where her skills as a Musician and Artist were always in demand. Writing has so far been in the form of scripts for school plays and composing for children's musicals, and many a poem has been penned to add lightness to learning for young children. Susan has now decided to put these skills into her first book. She has recently retired as a Music teacher and is now based in Worcestershire. The illustrator, Virginia, is Susan's sister and a closed collaborator on some of the stories. She is also a teacher. She has three sons, and is an accomplished Artist living and working in Manchester.
