About the Author

Peter Veth is the deputy-director of the National Centre for Indigenous Studies. His research interests include the evolution of desert and maritime societies, cultural heritage management, and contact history and the depiction of Indigenous societies in the media. Peter Sutton is an ARC Professorial Fellow at the University of Adelaide and the South Australian Museum. Margo Neale, an Australian of Aboriginal descent, is the principal advisor on Indigenous matters to the director of the National Museum of Australia and the principal curator of Utopia: The Genius of Emily Kame Kngwarreye.
