Synopsis
Rona W. Neely is the wife of Oral T. Neely and the mother of six children. As an elementary and middle school educator, she has seen the first-hand, devastating effects of bullying in the classroom. As a mother, she has dealt with the overwhelming emotions of anger, frustration, helplessness, and depression as her own children were victimized by the physical and verbal abuse of bullies. Wake Up, My Dear! challenges parents, schools, and the nation to wake up, stand up, and speak up to stop the epidemic of classroom bullying After an attempt to hide her fears, a little girl confides in her mother about the abuse she has suffered from bullies at school. About the Author
Rona W. Neely is the wife of Oral T. Neely and the mother of six children. Rona is a native of Alexandria, Virginia and is a 1989 graduate of Laurens District 55 High School in Laurens, South Carolina. Upon graduation, she continued her education to obtain an Associates Degree in Office Systems Technology, and an Associates of Arts Degree from Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, South Carolina. Rona continued her education at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina, where she obtained her Bachelors in Elementary Education in 2003. Rona currently teaches middle school mathematics in Greenville, South Carolina. As an elementary and middle school educator, she has seen the first-hand, devastating effects of bullying in the classroom. As a mother, she has dealt with the overwhelming emotions of anger, frustration, helplessness, and depression as her own children were victimized by the physical and verbal abuse of bullies. Her first children’s book, Wake Up, My Dear!, challenges parents, schools, and the nation to wake up , stand up, and speak up to stop the epidemic of classroom bullying. Neely is also the co-author "The Real Stepmoms; His Wife, Their Enemy?"
