Janet Underwood has more than twenty years of experience as a senior technical writer and trainer. She has developed technical documentation and training courses for major corporations in the computer, information technology, telecommunications, financial, and medical industries, as well as for government agencies such as NASA, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado, Janet began her career as an English teacher, and then worked as an editor and writer for several internationally known trade publications. She has won numerous awards for writing and documentation design and currently owns a technical writing and services business. Janet has taught technical writing skills to thousands of students around the world in her online classes. Her hobbies include playing the piano, reading science fiction, cooking unusual dishes, and tending to the never-ending needs of her Shih Tzu dogs.
