As an author, I love to get feedback from readers. When several readers mentioned they had started reading Stolen Woman because of their interest in trafficking, but were disappointed that the topic did not appear until halfway through the book, I listened. Stolen Woman now has four additional chapters, charting the trafficked victim Rani's journey parallel to Asha's.

Certain she is doing the right thing, Asha begins sneaking off the missionary compound to meet with her new friend and plan her escape. When the traffickers get suspicious and Asha's young friend runs away, Asha sneaks out during the night to help, ignoring the fact that she, too, might become one of the stolen.
More than just an exciting story, Rae is using Stolen Woman as a way to connect caring readers with human trafficking ministries so they can help make a difference. A 2-page spread at the end of Rae's book highlights Women At Risk International (warinternational.org), a non-profit ministry that has been rescuing women and children in foreign countries as well as in the U.S. since its inception in 2006. I loved this book! Kimberly did an amazing job creating her characters and setting. I very quickly got lost in the story and could easily picture the people and places that were being described. The story flowed so smoothly that I felt like I was right there experiencing and feeling all of the emotions that the characters were experiencing! I admit that my family was neglected as I read this book because I couldn't put it down. I have been waiting eagerly for the next book in the series, and I am already making plans to clear my schedule so that I can read it without interruption!

Stolen Woman is one of the best books I have read in a long time! For me the best part of reading a fiction book is when you can actually FEEL the emotions of the characters in your heart/soul. That's what Stolen Woman did for me. I appreciate how the author tastefully presents the horrific subject human trafficking, and that she has included an underlying love story (which I was not expecting). ...I can't wait for the next one!
