James Kelly is a toy store owner, longing for the days when imagination didn't come in the form of a computer chip in the latest incarnations of video game consoles. When snow starts falling outside his store, James daydreams his way back to a much earlier holiday season, when the snow was late in arriving.

When snow came on that late December day in the early 1960's, it brought with it a series of calamities and disasters to the Kelly household. If something could go wrong, it would, and if several things could go wrong, they all would in a cascade of comedic misadventures. No one was immune, especially James and his father Charles.

This is a book of fiction... sort of. As I wrote this story, memories of my own childhood Christmases and the friends and family who shared them created the foundation of this story. I frequently asked myself, "I know this is what really happened, but what if it went a step or several beyond that." Picturing the characters and events made writing this story as much fun as I hope you will have reading it.
